possibilitism:

The world has hit critical stage.

We are globally facing emergencies in the climatic, political, social, ethical, technological and economic spheres.

The world is at a turning point.

A time has come when humans discover that the way they understand and see things has a part in determining how things go.

A time has come when humans learn that training their minds to work in their own benefit is a tool not only for personal liberation, but also for our collective liberation.

A time has come when humans reveal to themselves that they have agency in how things happen in a large scale in the world.

A time has come when humans exercise their total creative freedom to help conjure up futures that actually benefit all of humanity, nature, and planet Earth.

Ways in which we’re getting there:

imagining

unimaginable

futures

Imagination is one of our greatest, yet most underrated tools to create versions of society that go beyond the current existing state.

When used purposefully for the collective's benefit, when fully aware of its creative power, and when applied with diligent practice, human imagination can act as the missing tool to create desirable futures for humanity.

However, not just any desirable future.

It is imperative that the futures we come up with seem unattainable at first — that is key.

Why is that:

In order to pivot a world that has gone too far in undesirable ways, we have to practice imagining in new, bold and idealistic ways.

We need to develop and apply new tools entirely. We need to paint with new colors, use new language, think new thoughts.

Because as long as we remain kept within the boundaries of what the current way of thinking believes is possible, we will never attain all of the apparently impossible things we can and should want for our planet and humanity.

In order to create something that is totally different than what

& materialism

capitalism

have conditioned us to understand as reality and what is possible, we will need to implement exactly what these old frameworks have taught us to view as

impossible

It is time to start imagining versions of the future in which far out concepts that appear currently unattainable, have in fact been achieved.

Futures that feel absolutely unbelievable in how incredible they are.

Futures that seem totally far fetched, when imagined from today’s standpoint.

If thinking of:

hunger being extinguished poverty being eradicated inequality ceasing to exist world peace being attained capitalism being in the past the air being free of pollution cancer being extinguished the oceans being free of plastic humans knowing how to telepathically communicate humans knowing how to levitate all of the planet's waste being eliminated extinct animal species reemerging people seeing others as diverse extensions of themselves borders between countries being deemed unnecessary people living meaningful, artful lives humans learning how to consciously heal themselves planet's earth biomes fully regenerating and thriving all species acknowledging each other's wisdom and participation in the creation of a fruitful reality for all living beings

brings up feelings of impossibility, suspicion or the pointlessness of you spending your time doing so, then you’ve reached a very valuable part of yourself

the skeptic

The skeptic, is the part of us which summarizes all of the things we’ve ever learned about reality and how the world works, in order to help us define what we believe to be possible or not.

Traditionally skepticism is associated with intelligent and necessary questioning tendencies, it investigates and scrutinizes in order to consider and accept notions.

Running into our own skeptic when thinking about these far out concepts being attained is a natural response and points at a couple important things.

First, encountering our skeptic confirms that we have in fact succeeded in envisioning versions of the future that challenge today's notion of what is possible — which is what we had set out to do.

Furthermore, if the skeptic holds as much power as defining the boundaries of our own beliefs, it is crucial for us to realize that these definitions have been created by a framework whose limits we're being invited to

expand

Possibilitism invites us to think of our internal skeptic, not as a hindrance but as a gatekeeper instead.

It marks the confirmation that we have in fact arrived at the

gates of new possibilities

Entering asks us to take three essential steps.

Defining Unveiling Defying

impossibility

It is the idea that something is already predefined by universal laws or societal rules and therefore cannot be changed.

Which implies the notion that fighting against it is foolish and a waste of time.

The definition of impossibility is that,  which is not able to occur, exist or be done.

Now if we take a step further back and look at what’s behind impossibility, we will notice something important.

What in fact grants impossibility its power are our own existing concepts, ideas and beliefs.

Every piece of information that we’ve ever received, being something we’ve heard, seen, thought or have been taught, all of it quietly constructs our notions of reality and of what we believe to be possible.

If our ideas and beliefs play a part in

empowering

things to be real & appear possible or not to us

and furthermore if these notions are

our own, if they belong to us,

then we have agency over them

Whether we know it or not

It is time we know it

It is time we have a say in our own understanding of what is possible.

It is time we use our say towards imagining desirable futures that truly go far beyond what has already been done.

Heavier than air flight, space travel, breaking the sound barrier, the internet, and even climbing the Everest, were for long considered feats beyond human capabilities.

Yet history has shown us, time and again, that multiple things humans had thought to be impossible, have in fact been achieved.

Now it is our time to defy the idea that far out desirable realities can’t be achieved, and claim for ourselves our ability to

participate

in fostering the future we want for humanity

At last, humans become conscious of our collective participation in the

creation

of reality

It becomes apparent to us that every single inanimate object had once been an idea that  materialized over time through will and effort.

Much like every imaterial concept or belief that occupies mental space in our collective imaginary.

From societal constructs, to scientific laws and entire empires.

All of it had thought as its raw material

Gaining consciousness of our constant participation in the creation of reality awakens us to another fundamental universal understanding.

Existence is a living entity

The universe is continuously emerging and being reshaped through the constant input given by all elements that comprise it, including us.

Despite matter appearing as separate and fixed, every single thing that the human eye or mind can reach is constantly unfolding rather than permanent.

Without exception, everything in the universe has had different forms and will always take different shapes.

Existence is alive and ever-changing, much like an endlessly occurring conversation amongst every component to have ever existed.

Reality is a verb, not a noun

Recognizing it as such is a breakthrough that allows its ever-unfolding nature to be highlighted, and more importantly our constant participation in it to be fully realized.

In other words:

Humans are now becoming aware

that we are constantly

futuring

reality

into existence

It is holding these understandings, that possibilitism invites us to

not underestimate the manifesting potential of our thoughts,

and to utilize our creative powers

to practice envisioning and eventually birthing

a new, far out, desirable reality

for the entirety of our planet, its biomes, creatures and societies.
